Lorna creates a range of pieces from the intricate and elaborate to the casually simple using semi-precious gems, precious metals and aluminium. Her creations use a combination of different techniques in the design and production of the jewellery including silversmithing, hand-dyed aluminium, wire wrapping and weaving. Her signature flower cluster cuff bracelet stylishly illustrates this unique process.
Lorna trained at the City Literary Institute, London, under a number of distinguished jewellery designers. After completing her training, she worked for an international jewellery company, progressing to the position of the Head Design and Production Designer. In 2007 she founded her own successful jewellery company. Since then Lorna has continued to develop her own unique style and has exhibited at various Trade Fairs, Contemperary Craft and Fashion events. Lorna is a member of a selective group of designer-makers and artists known as DesignGap and the Association of Contemporary Jewellers.
